Strange Occurrence in Burnside Road

November 13th:
Strange Occurrence in Burnside Road

As I was leaving the work car park at half past seven to walk to the office I had a brief encounter.

I've taken on a short term contract on the other side of town to keep income flowing what with xmas and all and it's a short walk from the car park to the main building and as I was crossing the road in a safety conscious manner a strange occurrence took place.

It’s freezing right. This black guy about seven foot tall (I kid you not) walked alongside of me and sang to me about how I was pure, good and kind. It was really bizarre! He had a fantastic voice. Not a word was exchanged between us. I just listened. You could describe it as the voice of an angle if it wasn’t so spooky. He was feeling the cold because he had a tweed jacket and a Tammy (Scottish headgear) on. He sang for about a minute then walked off down the road with his breath making clouds of steam as he went and he disappeared into it in a Mathew Kelly stars in their eyes type of way. I felt like an X-Factor judge. But he was really good. No critique required. Why did he do that? Was he taking the piss? I don’t know.

I then walked into the building and got in the lift and some clown wouldn’t keep the door open for others who were trying to get in and I had to intervene. So I saw ying and yang in about two minutes. Good and bad. Black and white. Thoughtful and inconsiderate.

Life is really strange sometimes. But I know that I want to be pure, good and kind.
