Rebel Soul

March 20th: Rebel Soul
What the F*ck
been away for a wee while. A lot's happened, meaning I haven't had the motivation to do much. Let me tell you what's been going on in the world of Wattie Mink via a short précis....
October 2006 - finish off my dissertation in order to complete my MSc fae Aberdeen Uni. Job done - handed in on schedule, albeit I was left knackered, got a commendation oh yeah!
November - Graduation day 25th (pics perhaps later). Events dominated by the death of one of the most ill natured craters I've had the privilege to hero worship, know, love and admire, Wattie Senior. Sad times. He passed on 30th (St. Andrew's day) befitting the lone piper of Edinburgh Castle who was a real Scot and true Celtic spirit.
December - trying to get things back on track. Highlight was xmas with my family and the Undertones gig in Aberdeen the same week Wattie died (a real co-incidence). John, Damian and Paul were all terrific. John and Dee are true rock n' roll stars, John in particular knew my Da through the family and he thought a lot of him - Genius bloke, Dee sent a magic text message on xmas day which cheered me up. Low point was the funeral and the thought of hogmany. It turned out good as the three of us had a good greet, laugh and caper ourselves in the hoose. It was rare!
2007 - haven't felt like doing much but spread Wattie's ashes with other siblings on what would have been his 79th birthday - January 14th. I just read Kev Williamson's blog and he's an inspiration. I immediately updated this. I feel like I might write for a while.
